Resue of Mr Synner

we've talked about it a few time and Synner keeps whining about getting rescued so...

seeing as we have a bit of a rebel force now to do events with I thought I'd pop the topic up (as no one else has ) to chat about Synn's rescue.

from what I remember the plan was for an ambush as the imperials are transfering him to Dathomir?
so yeah, time and dates need to be worked out plus a basic idea of how people would like the event to run.

I think the plan was something along the lines of:

The Imperials transfer Synner through space to Dathomir aboard a Prison Ship.

The Rebels attack the Imperials in space and have a fight.

If the Rebels destroy the prison transport then we move to the ground and both sides have to "search for survivors" and find the escape pod with Synner in it, if the Rebels find it then they escape etc, if the Imperials find it then they transfer him to the Prison, which is when the Rebels ambush the convoy.

If the Rebels don't destroy the prison transport then the Imperials land and transfer Synner to the Prison via V-35, which is when the Rebels ambush the convoy.

Does it have to have such a defined ending?

Aye fine for me, I just hope it won't turn out like the other time, when the RP event became a pure PvP event

I have the weapons e-mail in regards to the ships, so I'll try and hammer that part out tonight.

I had a brief chat with Mik or Ib, if they can produce an in character breifing mail, I was thinking that we would "steal it" for the rebel breifing.

I still think we should have the OOC meeting prior to the event to make sure everyone understands what will be happening and will hopefully follow the "rules" laid out for the event.

just need some input from the guys that will transporting Synner.

Who is actually transporting him? I think it should be someone with a decimator. They are much faster and more maneuverable, and stand a chance of getting away. If nobody has volunteered yet, i'll do it

well as far as I was aware the plan was a pob (decimator or GB) with a fighter escort?
I'm not 100% as I believe that Mik'di and/or Ibrahim will be organising this aspect.

from the rebels side I think we'd be looking at mainly fighters with again a pob or two (yt1300/2400 or nova) I think some will depend on turn out, and as I said before I'm not sure if we discussed some limit on the numbers previously?

part of the "difficulty" for the rebels will be finding the imperial ships as they are en-route, I think the way that it's been laid out a little is a nice idea, only thing I see being a pain will be a little bit of co-ordination, (i.e. if we don't shoot them down we'll need to ambush on the ground, so need to find a way to get ahead of them etc, if we do shoot them down, I know we need to "look for them" but I'm not 100% sure how this part would be planned.

I think maybe we should try and lay out a rough structure for each side?
think we discussed, ties & bombers, x-wing/z95 & y wing, and equivelant neutral fighters?
just need to sort out the loadouts and find a way to distribute (thinking if maybe we can hold the meeting in Mos Luna or something we could pop up a tent for people to buy the equipment from (will be pretty cheapish)

a standardized loadout would be good, that way it wont turn into the fiasco that the last space RP thing turned into.

Some good progress has been made with the RP ships, I agree that a quick in game meeting to finalise would be a good idea.
Then quickly mass produce a few fighters. the POB is a great idea but we need to look into the load outs for them so that they are competative with the RP fighters.

Hehe no but honestly, I was thinking having Ibrahim and Margras with their decimators.
Having Synner in one, and some troppers in the other. You have 50% chance to capture the Trooper's one and have a "nice" surprise once landed

But this kind of things should be planned beforehand, I guess.

I chatted with Gerwin and Dareni last night about load outs, will have to do a bit of crafting tonight but should be hopefully ok for the weekend.

Yes, but PLEASE can we do it on sunday? My friend and his little brothers are coming over on saturday and id really like to make this

to be fair IAAC usually hold their events sunday evening. so I assumed it would be a sunday evening

got the feeling that it isn't happening this weekend tbh, no real feed back for times etc yet.
planning to do some crafting tomorrow for the RP ship parts, but as I say no really feedback on times etc

best thing I can say is I'll try and grab the guys tonight and see where we stand.
